Journey For Children (JFC) provides quality primary healthcare services to medically underserved populations and initiates and supports preventive health initiatives. Prevention is our focus. Journey For Children (JFC) not only seeks to improve the health of individual patients, but also hopes to affect the health status of the community in which they live with health, hygiene, and nutrition education.
Strengthening Communities
In developing countries, education is not free, it is a privilege. Families must pay for tuition, books, and fees to enroll their children. Due to economic and cultural bias, extremely poor households often forgo the education of young girls in order to have an extra laborer at home, in the fields. Through scholarships for girls and microfinance programs for women, we can break this cycle of poverty.
